The World Court of the Tagansky District of Moscow on Monday found Google guilty of an administrative offense of repeated violation of the restriction of access to materials containing prohibited information, an Interfax correspondent reports from the courtroom.

„Recognize Google LLC guilty of an administrative offense and impose a fine of 21 billion 770 million 392 thousand 317 rubles ,” the judge announced the decision.
The court clarified that this amount of the fine is 10% of the company’s annual revenue in the Russian Federation.
Google was found guilty under Part 5 of Art. 13.41 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (repeated violation of the procedure for restricting access to materials containing prohibited information).
The reason for bringing the company to administrative responsibility, as noted in Roskomnadzor, was the materials posted on Google-owned YouTube video hosting, which „purposefully contributes to the spread” of: false information about the course of a special military operation in Ukraine that discredits the Russian Armed Forces; materials promoting extremist views and the ideology of terrorist organizations, as well as instructions for the manufacture of explosives.
The RKN recalled that Google LLC and its information resources had previously been repeatedly brought to administrative responsibility for violating Russian law regarding the removal of prohibited information. „For this, Google LLC was fined a total of 68 million rubles,” the report says.
On December 24, 2021, the judicial district of the justice of the peace No. 422 of the Tagansky district in relation to Google LLC already imposed a turnover fine under Part 5 of Art. 13.41 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation in the amount of 7.22 billion rubles for repeated violation of the procedure for restricting access to illegal content, which was recovered from the company by the Federal Bailiff Service.
In addition, measures have been introduced with respect to Google LLC and its information resources in the form of informing Internet users by search engines about the violation by the company of Russian law and a ban on the dissemination of advertising by Google LLC and its information resources as objects of advertising.
On June 16, the Russian „daughter” of Google – LLC „Google” filed an application for its own bankruptcy to the Moscow Arbitration Court.
